Ministry of Education holds Sustainable Building Conference on Prefabricated Solutions

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Projects and Services (Projects Department), in cooperation with Azm Digital Marketing Agency Company, organized yesterday, Monday, morning the Sustainable Building Conference - Prefabricated Solutions, under the patronage of HE Badr bin Salem Al-Maamari, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Tender Board, in the presence of their Excellencies and invitees. The conference targets “one hundred and fifty” engineers from government and private institutions and took place at the Fraser Switch Hotel Muscat in Bausher.

The conference began with a visual presentation on modern technologies in school buildings. This was followed by Engineer Bassem Al-Hadi, Assistant Director of Engineering Affairs, Studies and Estimates in the Projects Department at the Directorate-General of Projects and Services, giving a speech, in which he said: “We meet today to discuss the challenges and opportunities available in adopting prefabricated solutions based on the successful experiences of the Ministry of Education, many government agencies and the private sector. Our goal is to build our societies in a way that conserves resources, and achieves sustainable development, as sustainable construction and adopting prefabricated solutions have become an urgent necessity in our time, and we must innovate new ways to build homes and buildings to reduce its impact on the environment and contribute to preserving natural resources for future generations. We are happy to highlight the economic aspects of sustainable construction and adopting local content and we cannot ignore the important role that sustainable construction plays in promoting economic growth, encouraging investment, and providing job opportunities in various sectors.”

Then, “eight” papers were presented in the conference. The first paper was titled “Rapid Walls,” the second paper was titled “Adopting Modern Building Systems,” the third paper was titled “Sustainable Equipment Used in Construction,” and the fourth paper was titled “The electricity distribution substation using the rapid wall.” The fifth paper in this conference was titled “Automation of the Largest Sector in the World”, the sixth paper was titled “Implementing the Ready Mixed Concrete System in Schools,” and the seventh paper was titled “Khazaen Central Fruit and Vegetable Market.” The eighth and final paper of the conference was titled “Al-Ataa

Neighborhood.” Dialogue and discussion took place in between the presentation of papers and the conference ended with holding interactive sessions.
